Kick-Off to Summer – 2024

Join us at WinMan Trails for a fun filled weekend and help us celebrate the start of Summer! We will have LIVE music, beer specials, amazing food, and plenty of staff and volunteers to answer all your questions about the upcoming 2024 season. We are also incredibly excited to announce the WinMan user, and 2022 Olympian, Kevin Bolger will be joining us.

Meet 2022 Olympian Kevin Bolger – Sunday May 26th @ 2:30pm

Kevin will be sharing his journey to earning a spot on the 2022 US Olympic cross-country ski team and how places such as WinMan Trails are critical to developing a well-rounded athlete.

While cross-country skiing events may take place in the winter, training is a year-round commitment. Kevin is an active user of WinMan Trails throughout the year to make sure he achieves his fitness goals and stays on top of this training regimen.

Currently a member of Team Birkie, Kevin is training for the 2024-25 season. He will be discussing his involvement with Team Birkie and the efforts underway to continue to grow and support Nordic skiing in the region.

If you’re into cross-country skiing or just want to hear about an inspiring athlete’s journey, this is the event for you! After his presentation, stick around for a meet and greet and autographs.

Full Event Schedule

Friday May 24th:

  • As you pull into town, make time to stop by WinMan and be the first to get your hands on our new summer apparel, catch up with friends, and enjoy $4 select beers.

Saturday May 25th:

  • 10am: Bar and Apparel Shop Open with $4 select beers all weekend long.
  • 10-11am: Join Executive Director Isaac Cowart, for an Open House discussion about the improvements planned for the 2024 build season. This is your chance to ask questions and share your ideas and help shape the future of WinMan Trails.
  • 11-3: Lunch available at the trailhead – details coming soon!
  • 2-5pm: LIVE music from Black Whiskey Creek Band!

Sunday May 26th:

  • 10am: Bar and Apparel Shop Open with $4 select beers all weekend long.
  • 12-1:30pm: LIVE music from Strong Arm Sally!
  • 11-3pm: Winchester Lions club will be serving up some delicious lunch with all proceeds going to fund their amazing work in our community. Cash Only.
  • 2:30-4pm: Meet 2022 Olympian Kevin Bolger

WinMan Trails is 100% supported by your donations and money raised through events like this. Every dollar will go directly towards trail building projects planned for the 2024 season.
